  • Pleistocene Ice Age (2.58 million – present): The most recent and well-known Ice Age, featuring multiple glacial and interglacial cycles.

Today, we are living within the Pleistocene Ice Age, which continues to influence Earth's climate and ecosystems. While the term "Ice Age" often conjures images of icy wastelands, it fundamentally signifies long periods of Earth's history marked by significant cooling and ice sheet expansion.
